Abstract

All religions are committed to peace – yet every day there is conflict, war and terror in their name. We hear very little about the peace potential of religions, a competence that politics could make much stronger use of. One quote indicates that:

"No peace among the nations without peace among the religions;

No peace among the religions without dialogue between the religions;

No dialogue between the religions without investigation of the foundation of the religions."

The world’s largest and most representative multi-religious coalition—advances common action among the world’s religious communities for peace.  This course of Religions for Peace works to transform violent conflict, advance human development, promote just and harmonious societies, and protect the earth.
