The program offers a complementary education at the master’s level in Islamic Theology.

Islamic Theology is a field of study through which one gets familiarity with theoretical and practical principles and standards to live a way of life according to Islamic teachings based on Holy Quran and Doctrine of Ahl-ul-Bayt with an international approach. In this field students also study ideas of important figures, and thinkers in theology and faith from different schools of thought. In addition, one of the main distinction and prominence of Islamic theology based on Shiite recitation is that there is also an intellectual and philosophical approach to religious beliefs, along with the Qur'an and hadith in this theology.

The program aims to offer students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in Islamic Theology.

The Open University awards an Official Degree of “Master’s of Islamic Theology” recognized by higher education ministry of Islamic Republic of Iran, after graduating this course.
